Fabriq: Built from the inside out
RESULT
A founding institutional partnership secured, an engaged guest pipeline underway, and two episodes recorded — with a growing audience of designers, makers, and entrepreneurs in Montreal’s creative economy.
SITUATION
Montreal has a rich and distinctive creative economy — built by independent designers, makers, and entrepreneurs who shape the city’s identity but rarely get a platform to share how they actually work. The Fabriq Forum was conceived to change that: a bilingual conversation series exploring the intersection of design, business, and place, using fashion and the city itself as a lens.
TASK
Co-create a bilingual podcast and owned-audience platform built around a distinctive editorial point of view — developing the concept, brand, guest strategy, and content approach, while building relationships with Montreal’s creative community and the institutional partners who support it.
ACTIONS
Developed the editorial concept, show format, and brand identity — grounding the forum in Montreal’s bilingual, fashion-forward character
Defined a distinct editorial lens: candid conversations about what works, what doesn’t, and what it costs — focused on the real economics of independent creative work
Secured a partnership with Bakano, a local fashion incubator, establishing an institutional anchor and pathway to the guest community
Built and cultivated a guest pipeline — identifying and engaging designers, makers, and entrepreneurs whose stories reflect the forum’s themes
Researched and developed interview questions; hosted the first two episodes — drawing out the practical, candid insights the forum is built around
